Our story

After a lifetime of developing companies in Latin America, Don Juan Rassmuss Echecopar decided at the age of 84 to settle in Paraguay, following the same path that his father took at the same age, who as an octogenarian also started an oil and gas exploration adventure in the north of Paraguay.

Juan Enrique Rassmuss Raier is now in charge of continuing the entrepreneurial spirit of the Rassmuss family and developing the social vocation that has characterised his family. Together with his wife Joanne Avery, in 2015 they created the Juan Rassmuss Echecopar Foundation, focused on promoting comprehensive sexual and reproductive health for Paraguayan adolescents, as well as improving maternal and perinatal outcomes with a focus on pre-eclampsia.

Our purpose

Our hope is that future generations have the necessary tools to face their future in a positive way. Our priorities are maternal outcomes and adolescent health. We believe that getting this right, forms a strong foundation for building better lives.

Our mission

Our mission is to produce positive impacts on sexual and reproductive health in Paraguay.

How do we do it?

  • We seek to improve maternal outcomes, with a focus on preeclampsia.
  • We promote sexual and reproductive health for adolescents in Paraguay.

Our pillars

Cooperation

Our work focuses on strengthening and improving the Paraguayan health system. As a Foundation we create a network of collaboration with organisations, companies and groups of national and foreign professionals, in order to promote changes that improve the quality of life of young people and adolescents in Paraguay.

Professionalism

We act professionally and perform to high standards. The people who make up our Foundation have vast professional experience and are part of a network of prestigious national and international institutions.

Our team

Our team is made up of a group of professionals from different areas and nationalities, whose purpose is to contribute to maternal and child health in Paraguay in an effective and efficient manner, always with a mentality of continuous improvement throughout the process.
